Derouging
Eliminate rouge contamination from high-purity systems: vessels, process piping, and pharmaceutical or biotech equipment.
About This Service
Rouge (otherwise known as staining) is a form of iron oxide contamination that forms on stainless steel surfaces in high-purity water systems, pharmaceutical vessels, and biotech equipment. Left untreated, rouge can compromise product quality, increase bioburden risk, and accelerate corrosion.
Pure Source specializes in the identification and removal of rouge using chemical derouging agents that dissolve contamination without damaging the underlying substrate. After derouging, we can perform passivation to restore the protective passive layer.
We can perform derouging to most customer and facility specifications. If your project requires a specific procedure, SOP, or validation protocol, contact us and we will work to meet your requirements.
